Position Summary:
Using technical knowledge of pipes, valves, and fittings, assists mechanical and plumbing contractors at the Will Call counter.

Essential Functions:

• Makes product recommendations and assists customers with PVF products.
• Troubleshoots applications.
• Utilizes SX Enterprise system for all cash, check, and credit card sales.
• May prepare routine reports, and file sales records.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in locating supplies and equipment; may operate shrink wrap machine.
• Loads and packs product onto customer vehicles.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and continuous quality improvement objectives.
• Operates fabrication equipment as needed.
• Adheres to all Company safety rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Requires strong knowledge of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Requires the ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers.
• Requires a positive attitude and ability to function both independently and in a team setting.
• Requires ability to effectively operate fabrication equipment.
• Must possess strong mathematical aptitude.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
• Must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position.

Required Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of PVF distribution experience.
• Previous SX Enterprise experience preferred, but not required.
• Point of sale computer experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior forklift experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50 lbs.
• Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
• Requires the ability to stand and walk long distances for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
