Job Summary:
Manage and achieve the business development directives of EHS through direct collaboration with Executives, Physicians, and Service Line Leaders in the identification, design, and promotion of current, new, and or, expanded initiatives and services. Advance relationships with local and regional physicians, hospitals and pre-hospital agencies to maximize referral retention, utilization and market share for EHS. Drive referral growth for targeted service lines and specialty, employed physicians. Develop and implement strategies to maintain, and or, capture new market share. Oversee changes in regional physician coverage and hospital services, responding to opportunities for partnerships and specialty growth. Review and analyze internal and external referral and market data; responding with an action plan to address market leakage. Work as a team member of assigned Service Lines in the development & implementation of business development initiatives to expand the line and grow the market. Identify and nurture opportunities for physician recruitment. Provide managerial coordination and execution of local and regional activities, programs and educational events that promote and support EHS services. Classify and report barriers in accessing EHS that are experienced by physicians, hospitals and pre-hospital agencies
Education:
Required: Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 10 or more years in a sales management /business development position.
Preferred - MHA or MBA
Experience:
Required: Previous demonstrated leadership experience. Knowledge of health care delivery systems, both acute and ambulatory. Experience in sales, physician relations, marketing, and service excellence. Experience utilizing strong communication skills and multi-project coordination. Past successes in leading growth initiatives. Demonstrated ability in leading or facilitating teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Department Position Summary
The Business Development Manager {BDM} will represent Erlanger Health System to all local and regional providers, facilities and agencies. The BDM is responsible to achieve the business growth initiatives of EHS through the direct promotion and advancement of EHS employed specialty physicians and product lines. Work closely with Executive Leadership and Service Line Administrators to develop initiatives that result in referral and market share growth.
Core responsibilities: Provide managerial coordination and execution of local and regional initiatives, activities, programs and educational events that promote and support EHS. Review and analyze internal and external referral and market data; responding with an action plan to address market leakage. Identify and nurture opportunities for physician recruitment. Classify and report barriers in accessing EHS that are experienced by physicians, hospitals and pre-hospital agencies. Provide a bi-weekly market status update to Executive Leadership and Service Line Leaders. Serve as a member of the Service Line teams and attend all pertinent, related meetings. Maintain Strong Regional presence via routine travel in the region for the maintenance and growth of market share. Determine the fiscal needs of the department, submit budget recommendations, monitor and reconcile monthly expenses.
