SALES ASSOCIATE

Trenton Pressing is looking for an energetic and highly motivated individual to be our next Sales Associate team member. We are looking for someone who can use his or her engineering, technical and/or sales background to support and strengthen our Sales team. As a Sales Associate, you will be focused on managing RFQ packages and thereby be an integral part of growing profitable business for Trenton Pressing. To be successful as a Sales Associate at Trenton Pressing, you will possess an in-depth knowledge of our company's technical products and services and you will serve as a point of contact for customers as well as internal departments such as Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Sales Associate will prepare and complete piece price and tooling cost estimates on new and existing business with the support of the Sales and the Program Management team.
  • Proactively and clearly communicates customer requirements, timeline deadlines, and overall RFQ status to the internal support organization and executive leadership team.
  • Prepares all required customer paperwork in response to customer requests for quotes on new business on time.
  • Coordinates and supports RFQ review meetings, award kickoff meetings, technical and commercial presentations.
  • Acts as liaison to Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Accounting teams.
  • Participates in customer visits with Sales and Program Management teams to maintain and develop strong customer relationships.
  • Assists in creating customer presentations and establishing “Brand Identity” Strategy (Website, Merchandising, etc.).
  • Provides customer service by building and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Tracks and maintains all financial issues and changes for existing and new programs.
  • Reviews, approves, and processes customer purchase orders.
  • Maintains updated pricing information.
  • Updates information in ERP systems as required to keep the information current and accurate.
  • Maintains the filing system of all Sales programs to include open and closed quotes, engineering changes and other customer communications.

· Developing a thorough understanding of customers' business goals and objectives, operating systems, and manufacturing processes.

· Familiarity of CRM record management systems for all prospecting and customer activities.

Experience and Requirements:

· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience

· Preferred: contacts in Powersports OEM, Automotive sales experience, etc.

· High energy, self-motivated and quick thinking

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Strong time management skills, detail oriented

· Ability to work independently and in teams

· Strong Organizational skills

· Basic financial knowledge

· Ability to understand and interpret Bill of Materials for quoting purposes.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet customer deadlines and expectations

· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry and database experience, as well as experience in using CRM software

· Ability to travel as necessary

· Willingness to continue your sales and engineering education

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
