We are currently looking for a Technical Inside Sales Representative to help drive our global sales. This position will aid in the sale of products and service, develop relationships with strategic customers and provide sales support throughout the sales cycle.
What you will be doing:
- Become a technical expert on our product, their specifications, our capabilities, etc., and advise customers and our distributors on the most suitable solutions for their applications
- Create and follow up with customers and distributors on quotations for standard and custom products
- Handle all order/delivery/quality customer service questions and communications in conjunction with customer service and production teams
- Make recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability of our business
- Monitor and seek approval for all discount requests
- Support and help train our EU and UK sales specialists, as well as our distributors
- Draft and follow up on customer discount contracts to increase volume and profitability
- Collect and communicate market intelligence information regarding customers, applications, portfolio gaps, and competitors to the broader team
- In concert with the marketing team, develop and execute marketing campaigns to stimulate business
- Visit customers, trade-shows, and also host customer visits at the Westlake office.
- Identify and pass leads to the Sales Team on cross-selling opportunities for other Q-Lab products and services
- Create and maintain customer information in the database in CRM
- Provide management team with win/loss sales data on a monthly basis
- Understand and adhere to country specific coating restrictions
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a science or technical field
- 5-10 years+ experience in an Inside Sales
- In-depth knowledge of the coatings industry, current applications, coating processes and future developments highly desired
- Diligence with administrative duties such as data entry
