POSITION SUMMARY:

The Northeast Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for regional support of corporate objectives by preparing, negotiating, and presenting company products into the wholesale segment. The Regional Sales Manager will lead and develop the regions independent reps, regional inside sales, regional sales relationships, company initiatives and expand existing sales to targeted market potential.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Increases sales and profit through direct selling of established customers, developing new customers, regional strategy, marketing objectives, priorities, programs, proposals and presentations
• Direct account responsibility and works with independent rep agents that are established in the region
• Recommends new business strategies to continuously strengthen market position
• Analyzes reports, statements, and statistical data to drive insights to action in their region
• Acts as liaison cross-functionally, in efforts to resolve customer matters
• Assures effective operations by coordinating sales and service activities with engineering, manufacturing, inventory, and shipping
• Attends and engages with customers/consumers at offsite events including industry trade shows, seminars, and organization meetings
• Travel – 50+% within assigned region
• Performs other related duties as needed and assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience demonstrating success in growing sales and closing deals within the wholesale industry
• Experience in leading independent rep agents and teams

COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and proven successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
• Ability to navigate ambiguity to optimally organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
• Proficient digital literacy required including Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in wholesale distribution in construction or plumbing industry preferred
