The VP Sales is responsible for planning and communicating sales strategies that build sales process, sales pipelines, and close sales agreements (deals) ~ ultimately achieving or exceeding sales bookings goals. We're building a Fitness/ Healthcare SaaS Tech juggernaut here, and our Candidate is a Player-Coach who thrives on building sales teams from the beginning. While you will hire and lead a team, you can also roll up your sleeves to drive and close sales.
The VP of Sales will work closely with the Revenue Team to ensure profitability, sharing responsibility for P&L and
collaborating closely with the CMO to deliver to budget and forecasts.

Some target client markets include: Neurological Rehab, Senior Citizen Care Providers, Sports Rehabilitation Centers, Premium Fitness Gyms, Living Centers, Diagnostic & Testing Clinics, Sports Labs & Performance Centers, Orthopedic Surgeons, and Physical therapy including Neurological, Occupational, Geriatric, Pediatrics and Rehabilitative Physical Therapies.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
People Leadership
- Actively participate in the recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentoring the Sales to ensure ongoing engagement of team members.
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of and provide support to Senior Sales Reps, Business Development
Representative (BDRs), and Sales Coordinator.
- Own the overall success of the Sales functions through leadership, KPIs, systems, tools, and processes to ensure forecasted
sales and goals are achieved.
- Map the allocation of team size based on business and market factors such as sales goals to actual, resource allocation,
growth, etc.
- Establish and track career ladders for the team incorporating scheduled one-on-one meetings with OKRs to provide
continual feedback and disciplinary actions, when necessary, in accordance with defined HR practices; create and maintain succession plans across teams and develop meaningful retention strategies
- Foster collaboration across the entire marketing department and across all stakeholder groups regardless of involvement in the customer lifecycle

SALES
- Together with the CMO, assume responsibility for P&L.
- Manage the team and maintain operations in alignment with the company Mission, Vision, Core Values, and goals as well as established best practices.
- Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, outlining and managing budgets and detailed forecasts.
- Collaborate with the SVP of Marketing Ops in Demand and Lead Generation, goals, budget, and processes to support and achieve established quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Lead, manage, motivate, and empower the sales teams to achieve defined sales goals providing support in presentations and help closing as needed.
- Identify where improvements can be made and develop team plans and strategies for continuous improvement and sales
growth.
- Create a long-term Sales strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders to support the overall growth objectives of the company.
- Participate on the Revenue Team collaborating with senior leaders across the organization to ensure profitability to develop pricing policies and strategies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions, for high-profile customers and channel partners
- Assist in the definition of appropriate sales and marketing organization mix/alignment for the demands of the market and potential customers
- Collaborate with VP of Customer Success to maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
- Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management and report monthly, quarterly, and
annual results internally maintaining dashboards in HubSpot.
- Serve, as needed, in areas outside of the primary responsibilities outlined above.

Required Skills, Experience & Characteristics
Proven work experience as a VP of Sales or similar role with leading high-growth sales team to annual goal of $10+ MM.- 7- 10 years senior level Sales experience, ideally building/supporting teams in a fast-moving, SaaS company
- 5+ years managing teams and direct sales of MedTech, Performance Technology, Sports Medicine products/equipment.
- Experience selling into Healthcare College or Pro Sports,
- BA/BS Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Great strategic planning, organizational, creative thinking skills, and CLOSING SKILLS!
- Effective written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills with proven ability to effectively engage with and present to senior level executives
