Republic, a 107-year old nationally recognized, third generation, and family owned enterprise headquartered in the Quad Cities has an immediate opening in our electrical division for a Quad Cities Territory Sales Manager servicing a well-established book of accounts.
Republic is one of the largest independent distributors of electrical, heating, air conditioning, energy management, refrigeration and sign support products in the entire Midwest. In addition to the headquarters in Davenport, IA, Republic has branches located in Dubuque Iowa, Cedar Rapids Iowa, and Peoria Illinois.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with three years of relevant sales or industry experience preferred; will consider equivalent combined education and on the job experience.
- Ability to demonstrate high ethical standards, professional behavior, communication skills, developing relationships and working in a team environment.
- Demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Previous use of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Establish and maintain customer relationships to grow a profitable business.
- Implement a sales plan to support sales and profitability goals.
- Utilize solution selling skills to assist customers address needs and work with your inside technical support team to provide project layout/design, bills of material and project management.
- Deliver and follow up on quotations and working with the technical team to refine customer solutions.
- Work with our supplier’s representatives to secure mutual business through joint calls.
- Stay current with existing and emerging products and technologies including attending product training classes, trade shows and sales meetings.
- Introduce and demonstrate new products to assigned accounts.
- Report competitive conditions and feedback gained through your activities to management.
- Develop an effective and productive working relationship with Inside Sales, Counter Sales and support personnel.
- Complete sales call and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy.
