Sales Project Manager
This position is responsible for handling and coordinating the processing of proposals and associated orders to ensure Farris growth and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Project Sales Manager. Major duties include quotation preparation, quotation submission, order review, customer communications, order monitoring and progress reporting. Knowledge and strong capability is also required for specification review, terms and conditions review, valve sizing, project costing, and order entry.
Location: Brecksville, OH
Your Challenge:
- Responsible for execution of proposals and associated orders
- This would include review of technical specifications, valve sizing, selection of pressure relief valves, costing, proposal pricing, and determining necessary technical and commercial clarifications and deviations
- Interface with Farris representatives, Regional Sales Managers and Farris Sales Management to develop project "Win" strategy
- Interface with other departments including Engineering, Purchasing, Operations and Finance, etc. to ensure all technical and commercial specifications are understood and quoted correctly
- Complete review of customer supplied Terms & Conditions to ensure all commercial terms are acceptable or included in Farris' terms and conditions
- Preparation and submittal of the customer proposal
- Interface with Operations to establish an effective delivery schedule
- Communicate with customers in a timely manner including progress reports for orders
- Complete and maintain iPRSM Commercial Module Quote Log
- Attend technical/commercial bid evaluation meetings at customer location (as required)
- Interact with Operations from receipt of the order through the shipment and invoicing of the order
- Due to project nature, work outside of normal work hours will be necessary
Your Expertise:
- Bachelor's Degree from Engineering or other related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience with exposure to Pressure Relief Valve products preferred
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, project management and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of fluid and/or process systems preferred
- Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, LN or other ERP System
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Ability to balance multiple projects, and be attentive to detail
- Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Customer/Client focus
- Strong organizational skills
- Team player to achieve necessary deadlines
- International travel and passport may be required
