BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

LOCATION: Clearwater, FL

DEPARTMENT: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

REPORTS TO: PARTNER

STATUS: FULL-TIME (EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Specialist will assist with daily operations of the Business Development department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow and coordination of the department's activities to extend our reach through key pursuits, untapped business opportunities, and strategic relationship. This position will support management and the implementation of internal processes and systems. Duties include executing key business initiatives and providing administrative and project support to the sales team as well as assisting the Proposal Writer with planning, developing, packaging (printing/shipping), and organizing processes around RFPs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Support Business Development team members in organizing various projects
  • Track and report on the status of proposal components along side the Proposal Writer
  • Scheduling meetings and organizing the team
  • Support various product segments by drafting, editing and proofreading marketing/business development-related literature and/or website content
  • Packaging RFPs/proposals for submittal
  • Complete data entry to support Business Development Sales Representatives in CRM and Outlook Calendar
  • Track, identify and add prospects and projects to sales pipeline
  • Prepares business development presentation packets
  • Provides administrative and clerical assistance to VP level sales team
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of internal and external meetings and conference telephone call
  • All other tasks as assigned by company leadership

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • InDesign experience
  • Passion for sports and recreation
  • Able to "Lead Up" with sales team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in marketing, business, or communications
  • Ability to create high quality custom documents through use of InDesign (INDD) to maintain brand and visual standards
  • 2+ yrs. experience within a business environment
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and InDesign)
  • Experience with CRM Administration (HubSpot)

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high
  • Will be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computer
  • Office environment has intermittent noise, normal in nature
  • One to two days a week can be remote

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimal travel required
    • May need to travel to pre-bid meetings for RFPs
