POSITION: Regional Sales Manager reports to Vice President Sales
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be, positive, engaged, driven, involved team player who is currently engaged in a similar software role with priority given to someone with enterprise software experience in the construction industry. He/She will be an experienced salesperson and leader who listen’s well, uses critical thinking to understand the client and Regional Sales Director’s needs, plays back the findings to ensure the customer and RSD is understood, and assists in matching the company’s platforms to solve the client’s need. He/she will be a driven, experienced, and pro-active sales leader with a winning attitude and the ability to build relationships and sell and assist in selling technical software products to new and existing customers. A competitive, quick thinker under pressure, quick learner with well-developed problem-solving skills; the ability to make decisions and implement them quickly and independently is mandatory for this role. Results oriented, self-motivated sales manager with the ability to sell our existing product portfolio and can create solutions for customers and RSDs in need will do well in this role. A team player with excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization, computer literacy and customer relation skills are required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years in sales with a minimum of 1 to 3 in software sales with proven track record of sales, leadership, and new business development. A BS degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in sales, marketing or software. Approximately 20 to 30% travel is required.
Note: this position can be located in Portsmouth NH or Burkhead, Atlanta, GA
Compensation:
Base range: 90K to 110K
Total OTE: TBD
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Regional Sales Manager include but are not limited to the following:
- Work on a team of Business Developer, 2 Regional Sales Managers and 2 Regional Sales Directors
- Proactively and aggressively cultivate new business in your region
- Work with the Regional Sales Director (RSD) to manage the lead queue and pipeline for your territory.
- Work with the RSD to maintain accurate forecasting in Salesforce, and assure that your pipeline is always up to date – including next sales actions and activities
- Work with the RSD to achieve required revenue figures for software and total revenue for your territory on a monthly basis.
- Attend regular sales meetings and be fully prepared to discuss the pipeline or other territory sales efforts and issues.
- Conduct discovery calls to gather necessary pre-demo data and samples from prospective customers
- Participate in deep dive software demonstrations.
- Assist in the training and development of B2W sales personnel.
- Maintain positive interaction with other B2W departments.
- Remain aware of product delivery timelines.
- Effectively manage prospective customer expectations
- Attend industry trade shows and the Annual Users Conference.
Demonstrated Skills
- Experience with consultative selling
- Being able to listen well, understand or as we put it “unpack” needs and use critical thinking to interpret the true need of the prospect
- Play back our findings to the prospect to ensure we understood correctly
- Match our platform capabilities that solve each need and explain how and why we are the right fit to fix the problem
- Think quickly on one’s feet – being able to do the above real time under pressure
- Ability to engage potential customers in new markets; existing customers in new markets
- Ability to sell existing customers new products, ability to sell deeper into the organization
- Ability to establish working/selling relationships with key decision makers
- Understand the dynamics of evolving markets and subsequent solution selling
- Ability to handle objections, creative with margin attainment
- Ability to “read” markets to establish new business with direct user customers
- Assess new markets, envision match with the company’s products, coordinate with marketing and R&D
- Strength in negotiations, closing sales deals; coordination of product development programs and development of new customers
- Excellent listening, communication and writing skills
Specialized Knowledge
- Knowledge of selling enterprise software products
- Experience with SalesForce software a plus
Education
- BS Degree in Sales and Marketing, Software or a Technical education preferred.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years in sales, with a minimum of 1 to 3 in software sales with proven track record of sales and new business development.
Travel
- Willingness and ability to travel 20 to 30% of the time.
Compensation
