We’re hiring a Sales Engineer- Sustainable Materials in our BRAND NEW MATERI'ACT DIVISION in Auburn Hills, MI.

Our NEW MATERI'ACT Division is looking for a Sales Engineer for its office in Auburn Hills, MI to maintain existing customer relationships and identify potential new sales opportunities in Automotive and out of Automotive markets.

You’ll work on challenges that matter

This job will require you to:

  • Maintain working relationships with existing customers to ensure exceptional service
  • Identify potential new sales opportunities in Automotive and out of Automotive markets
  • Spot appropriate leads, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls
  • Build business cases and identify levers to improve competitiveness
  • Prepare the commercial offers to answer on due time to the customer requests and manage sales cycle to close new business
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct technical presentations
  • Be a solution provider to customers by understanding their needs and supporting the SMD Engineering team to adapt product roadmap accordingly with the feedbacks
  • Stay tuned to the competitive landscape and communicate the updates to PLs
  • Prepare professional, and concise technical presentations to convince customers
  • Understand the sustainability constraints/regulations to adapt the external communication package and materials offer
  • Support the TVO teams with commercial productivity proposals for SMD target
  • Create sales forecast and closely monitor and present to the management actual progress versus forecast on a monthly basis

The ideal candidate

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales in an industrial B2B environment
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • Fluent in English and if necessary, in the Customer language
  • Understands client business, products and key competitors
  • Strong Microsoft Office and reporting skills
  • Comfortable with financials and good analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and capacity of empathy
  • Business international mindset
  • Results orientated, Client orientated, and Team player
