Dakota Supply Group (DSG) is seeking a Sales and Marketing Coordinator in our Sterling Heights, MI location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. In this integral role in DSG’s Sales and Marketing team, the Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be involved with a variety of activities in support of DSG’s overall strategic and annual operating plans.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Sales and Marketing Coordinator:
  • Provide support for DSG’s promotional efforts with its vendors and customers
  • Provide support for the company’s co-op advertising and buying group marketing administrative processes
  • Provide support for certain market and customer analysis initiatives, including customer satisfaction surveys, SMP, etc.
  • Provide leadership and support for the company’s events for both internal and external customers, including the development of plans and budgets, as well as executing all activities in conjunction with each event
  • Provide support and leadership for a variety of sales and marketing initiatives including the Customer Service Guarantee program, marketing playbook development, online/ecommerce activities, customer training programming, sales and marketing reporting, loyalty program administration, etc.
  • Provide support to Segments with manufacturers, including reporting, factory visits, and company events
  • Establish communication and collaboration with sales and managers regarding marketing initiatives and execution of those initiative
  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned

A Successful Sales and Marketing Coordinator Typically Has:
  • A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or business-related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marketing or administrative role.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and superior organization.
  • A proactive mindset.
  • The ability and self-management required to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to meet project deadlines and exceed key performance indicators.
  • An adaptable attitude, the ability to perform under pressure, and comfortability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
