Full description of the position

Working Hours/Days: Monday – Friday 7:30am- 4:30pm, on-call after hours and weekends as needed Overview:
Expand Altorfer Lift Truck’s presence in assigned territory, providing product support to customers and increase product support revenue. Promote Altorfer’s products and demonstrate by actions that the PSSR and Altorfer Lift Truck are solutions providers.
Basic Duties:
  • Increase PM agreements, parts & service opportunities between Altorfer Lift Truck and customers in assigned territory
  • Prepare, present and follow-up on LT Machine Sales, Parts and Service quotations for customers
  • Achieve maximum sales and profitability in assigned territory by working with both existing customers and targeting new accounts.
  • Complete after sales visits to customers who purchase new / used equipment from Altorfer Lift Truck / Altorfer Rents
  • Complete and present warranty certificates, complete 30, 60 and 90-day post-delivery visits, discuss and sign-up customer for electronic parts ordering program
  • Acquire customer information to build comprehensive data base to include machine lists, customer contacts, influencers, and Parts and Service purchasers - all information to reside in CRM, Daily call reports in CRM
  • Establish a systematic visit schedule targeting 50 visits per week (10 per day)
  • Promote current LT Machine, Parts and Service marketing and sales programs
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with internal customers (Service, Parts, and Sales)
  • Meet or exceed market growth goals
  • Maintain working relationship with equipment salesperson in assigned territory to form a strong support team for customers
  • Other tasks as requested by manager
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college, technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Good interpersonal skills required
  • General knowledge of maintenance, repair, parts department functions, sales, and customer needs
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience in material handling industry preferred
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs safely.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
This position works out of office environment and travels to meet customers. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a period of time; answer telephone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Traveling is needed, to visit current and new customers. Walking and lifting up to 75lbs. may be required. Demonstration of equipment may be needed. Noise level in an office environment is usually moderate to low.
