Description of Job:

The Sales Administrator will function as a member of the Retail Sales Team and will report to the National Account Sales Manager with primary responsibility to identify opportunities to deliver growth through fact based recommendations and reporting. The scope of this role includes performance reporting, cost and sales analysis, trend analysis and customer relationship management.

What will your job responsibilities and duties be?

  • Compile and analyze data to drive business outcomes related to strategic plans and initiatives
  • Compile and analyze data that helps drive business outcomes as related to the overall retail strategic plan and initiatives
  • Data entry including order and RMA processing
  • Collaborate regularly with Retail Customer Service team, EDI, Finance and DC to ensure key requirements related to assigned territory is communicated to help achieve performance standards in relation to vendor compliance, logistics, EDI set up and pricing.
  • Maintain files for program elements, contracts, pricing, customer product set up and documentation for assigned account territory
  • May create concepts for planograms, flyers, product content, sales meetings
  • Communicate with sales and management team regularly
  • Review past sales and return data to identify account performance trends and opportunities for growth
  • Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources
  • Evaluate third-party data to determine best practices for company success (Account Portals, POS data when applicable)
  • Create and present actionable information and insights to team members and management for activities that support sales meetings and presentations
  • Gather and analyze data in order to understand problems and address them proactively
  • Serve on various project teams that support retail account initiatives
  • Develop professional and persuasive Power Point presentations.
  • May participates in trade shows, customer visits, sales events
  • Perform additional duties as required

What does our ideal candidate look like?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related area of study
  • 2+ years of Customer Service experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables and Vlookups)

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize responsibilities and workflow
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical skills; strong attention to detail is required
  • Ability to mine large amounts of data
  • Ability to travel as required
