The Account Manager must be a very organized and highly motivated individual. He or she must be professional, dedicated, detail-oriented and accountable to both the Company and the customers he or she serves. He must be able to work well with others and help facilitate a team environment. This position requires someone who is a hard-worker, is able to make decisions with confidence, has the desire to achieve a high degree of success and fulfillment in his/her career and is able to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and customers alike.
The Customer Account Specialist will possess and exhibit the Core Values of LeClaire Manufacturing: Honesty, Development/Learning, Respect, Initiative and Excellence; and will instill and encourage these values in his/her co-workers on a daily basis.
Essential Functions:
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis updating our system as necessary.
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Support solution development efforts with outside sales that best addresses customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
- Provide account support to outside sales; specifically, client needs, order status, overall account sentiment.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly account summaries with survey feedback.
- Assist AR with account past due issues contacting the customer and relaying the importance of on time payment.
- Field daily phone calls from customers
- Enter customer orders into ERP computer system.
- Respond in a timely manner to customer requests
- Keep customers apprised of their orders/scheduled shipments
- Verify the availability of product through production jobs/inventory levels
- Build a relationship with assigned customers and be their main point of contact at the Company
- Log onto customer portals for shipping information and order quantities
- Attend meetings as required
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Must have initiative and drive to complete tasks with excellence and in a timely manner
- Must be capable of critical thinking and an outside-the-box problem solver.
- Self-motivated and driven to find solutions to problems and/or improve customer relationships with limited guidance
- Outgoing; not too shy to pick up a phone and have a conversation with someone in or out of the office
- Comfortable with learning various supply chain/customer-demand platforms to input orders and keep production updated with the best information
- Organized-capable of managing a lot of information quickly and efficiently
- Detail-oriented-able to be precise and maintain focus with a lot of data-entry orders and customers to review as well as able to be specific and clear with communication to customers and/or production
- Good with numbers and simple calculations
- Willing and eager to do more as the job develops
- Facile and comfortable with computers, excellence in MS Office applications is required. Must be able to learn new programs with ease. ERP experience a plus; the ability to master the ERP software is mandatory.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma, required
Bachelor's degree, preferred
Experience:
preferably with some experience in sales, customer service,
and/or account management.
Superior telephone skills: polite, respectful, courteous.
