Full description of the position

HUGE OPPORTUNITY with Tier 2 Company! Over the last seven decades, Tier 2 has developed a world class manufacturing process for forging and machining specialty metals including Copper, Titanium, Aluminum, and Superalloys. Tier 2 provides specialty metal forging, heat treating, machining, and value-added services through partnership and expert consultation. We are currently looking for a passionate and focused individual able to manage multiple priorities daily while supporting and demonstrating the Company’s core values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications (industry/customer) historical data, and other technical documents to assist in assembling accurate quotes for testing/processing requirements
  • Work with Process Engineering and Purchasing/Raw Materials departments to ensure appropriate raw materials are procured for process design/costing (spec. dimension etc.)
  • Determine any special processing necessary at the time of quoting (tooling, outsource processing, etc.)
  • Receive and process relevant customer documents in a timely manner
  • Participate in sales projects and communicates order status to the sales team and customer
  • Monitor order status and address action items as necessary
  • Participate in Contract Review to ensure all required order information has been received
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate proficiency in company products, services, and certifications to assist customers
  • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent and at least two years of related experience and/or equivalent education & experience
  • Demonstrated ability in reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings and basic GD&T
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Prior experience working with an ERP/MRP system is preferred, PLEX is a plus
  • Previous experience utilizing CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Position is required to be on-site, occasional work from home with supervisor approval is available
Working Conditions:
  • This position is designed to work full-time.
  • Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • An alternate schedule may be arranged or assigned based on the business demands, nature of duties performed, and other factors.
  • Occasional flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required as job responsibilities demand.
  • Regular work, after hours and/or weekend work may be performed remotely, if the capability exists.
  • Little to no travel is expected for this position.
  • This position mainly operates in an office environment during work hours, but may be expanded to assist and support employees in other departments within the Company; Occasional exposure to production equipment and machinery.
  • May be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of employees.
  • The environment may be busy and noisy.
  • All required personal protective equipment is provided.
