AIS Construction Equipment is the oldest Michigan owned and operated heavy equipment company in the state and has been serving customers for 60 years. We are looking for a sales professional of heavy construction equipment in southeast Michigan. This team member will represent AIS in the market according to our company values which include helping our customer to become more profitable by providing equipment, service, and support to meet their needs. This is an outside sales role and will require someone who is self-motivated, self-structured, and patient.
Responsibilities
- Travel throughout assigned territory to sell heavy construction equipment (such as John Deere, Komatsu, and JCB) to customers.
- Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned territory
- Consult with customers in order to understand a customer’s situation and needs and to provide a solution
- Perform or coordinate product demonstrations, installations, and application support
- Coordinate with all internal departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Work closely with the service department to find a solution to customer complaint issues
- Assist customers on financing of the purchases
- Meet monthly and annual quota objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience with face-to-face sales
- Knowledge of heavy construction equipment
- High-energy and positive individual
- Self-motivated individual capable of developing objectives, setting priorities, and implementing ideas
- Ability to build strong, lasting relationships of mutual understanding and trust
- A strong sense of urgency to provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction
- Excellent customer service skills
- Tenacity and willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done

Salary Information: $40,000 base + Commission = approximately $150,000 + Company Vehicle + Expenses + Phone/Laptop

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
