Sales Reporting Analyst (Hybrid)

Requires work to be performed at an onsite physical location on a regular basis (generally 3 days per week) as determined by applicable business unit unless business demands, geography or other factors require adjustments to this requirement.
Responsibilities
Sales Reporting Analyst I
Designs, develops and reports sales information to sales leadership and executive management used to monitor performance, understand the current state of our business and the results of our sales efforts.
- Designs, develops and delivers high level reports to sales leadership and executive management. Analyzes data and reports to assure reasonableness and accuracy.
- Consults with sales leadership to understand ongoing reporting needs. Prepares monthly reporting and performs analytical review of completed reports and assumes responsibility for overall accuracy.
- Designs and develops DB2 on-line and batch programs and mainframe-to-PC processes in direct support of management’s requests/needs. Writes production queries to obtain data needs.
- Extracts and reports information from the Customer Relationship Management system in support of sales division needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Sales Reporting Analyst II
Delivers and engages with Sales Leadership to provide consultative and analytical insights with regard to forecasting, Board reporting, and other tactical sales metrics to guide decisions for growth and retention of group business. Develops measurement metrics around Sales strategies/market intelligence and streamlines access to report types from across the organization for internal and external audiences.
- Delivers continuous reporting innovation to assist in the achievement of sales goals and increase sales productivity. Responds to ad hoc data requests such as group analytics.
- Creates sales reporting and business analysis to support reporting to the Board of Directors and Executive Staff.
- Conducts monthly and annual sales enrollment forecasting with Sales Vice Presidents and other department leaders.
- Develops and maintains processes with Sales leadership for timely access to standardized corporate reporting based on group size/region and creates/maintains guidelines for internal and external deployment.
- Creates custom reporting projects for VP and other department management.
- Streamlines and maintains content, format and usability of reporting generated from Business Development for corporate branding and consistency of market interpretation and messaging.
- Synthesizes Sales goals for reasonability and alignment with corporate goals and objectives to measure results and make recommendations for modification to sales strategies and outcomes.
- Contributes to the efficiency of administration for both internal marketing incentives and broker compensation programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Senior Sales Reporting Analyst
Consults with Sales Leadership to identify and provide sales reporting to monitor sales performance, understand the current state of our business and the results of our sales efforts. Produces analytical insights to guide decisions for growth and retention of individual and group business. Develops and maintains the reporting data warehouse / data tables used to produce the measurement metrics and reports. Utilizes business intelligence tools to deploy dynamic reporting with interactive views and ensures access to report types from across the organization for internal and external audiences. Manages data integrity and related processes and procedures.
- Develops enhanced reporting capabilities using business intelligence tools (i.e., Tableau, SQL Server, SAS). Provides analytical results in an organized, visual manner with trending and drill down functionality for senior sales and organizational leadership to assist in the achievement of sales goals and increase sales productivity.
- Develops and maintains the Sales Data “Warehouse”, including tables and queries. Ensures data integrity through consistent monitoring, testing and auditing of data and collaborates with IT and data warehouse teams to inform and validate business and technical data requirements.
- Leads business analysis efforts to support reporting to the Board of Directors, Executive Staff, sales leadership and other key stakeholders. Analyzes and reports the progress of sales activities toward meeting established AIP goals.
- Evaluates workflows to automate and streamline existing reporting, data collection and data transfer processes to enhance business efficiency. Serves as a contact for sales analysis and reporting issues and testing for technology-related projects impacting reporting. Prepares documentation on all projects to enable peer review and ensure continuity of data product quality. Provides training and guidance to team regarding the production of standard and ad hoc reporting.
- Creates custom reporting projects for VP and other organizational leadership. Collaborates with management to determine reporting needs while understanding the business context and needs of requests.
- Designs and develops programming (mainframe/PC processes) to directly support management’s requests and needs. Writes production queries to obtain data needs.

Qualifications
Sales Reporting Analyst I
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field.
- One year experience in the healthcare or financial services industry reporting sales, financial, or similar data.
- Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel & Access.
- Strong proficiency with mainframe computer report writing packages (i.e.,DB2, DYL, SAS).
- In-depth understanding of file structures, data definitions and relationships across all files (i.e. Membership, Disbursements, Claims, Provider, Broker, etc.).
Sales Reporting Analyst II
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- MBA preferred but not required.
- 3 years’ experience as a Sales Reporting Analyst or equivalent progressive experience with sales analytics/metrics, preferably in a healthcare or insurance environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the health insurance industry and products.
- Proficiency in SAS, SPSS, DB2, DYL and other analytical tools preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheets, report structuring and other related applications.
- In-depth understanding of file structures, data definitions and relationships across all files (i.e. Membership, Disbursements, Claims, Provider, Broker, etc.).
Senior Sales Reporting Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- MBA preferred but not required.
- 5 years’ experience as a Sales Reporting Analyst or equivalent progressive experience with sales analytics/metrics, preferably in a healthcare or insurance environment.
- SAS Certification.
- Strong Proficiency with database and system report writing tools such as SAS, SPSS, DB2, DYL, Tableau, QMF, and other analytical tools preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the health insurance industry and products.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Access and Excel report structuring and other related applications.
- In-depth understanding of file structures, data definitions and relationships across all files (i.e. Membership, Disbursements, Claims, Provider, Broker, etc.).
