About Midtown Chimney Sweeps
We are North America’s fastest-growing chimney and fireplace service company, which means we help people every day by improving the comfort and safety of their homes. We sweep, inspect and repair chimneys and install fireplaces in residential homes and commercial buildings. We are currently seeking an experienced sales person to join our Midtown Chimney team based in Boulder.
Job Overview:
The Sales Person is responsible for driving the sales pillar of our business which includes creating quotes, following up with customers, making sales, and generating future business. Your goal is to help the business consistently hit or exceed its revenue goals by converting as many potential leads into customers as possible. You will be the main point of contact between technicians who are creating quotes, customers, and the management team to ensure our sales run smoothly.
A proven sales track record in the trades, home service, or construction industry is a must.
Pay
$60,000 / yr salary
PLUS Uncapped Commissions
- 2% commission per quote built (that turns into a sale)
- 2% commission per quote closed (separate from building quotes)
(The 2023 annual revenue goal is $2.7M between the Boulder and Lakewood territories. If the role is executed correctly, with hypothetical earnings of the maximum 4% commission on 30% of the goal, your commission will be an extra $32,000 in addition to your annual salary.)

Hours: Core hours of 9:00am-3:00pm MST, Monday-Friday
Goals and KPIs for your role
Contribute to the business by selling $100,000+ per month (an average sale is $5000)
Quote conversion rate of 20% or more per month
Respond to customer requests within 24 hours
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Build excellent quotes with detailed notes in a timely manner (24 hour turnaround)
- Manage the customer relationship for quotes from start to finish with effective communication and consistent followup
- You are ultimately responsible for facilitating healthy, profitable sales growth through strategic business relationships with general contractors, commercial multi-family jobs, referrals from real estate agents, fireplace stores, etc.
- Exceeding predetermined monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
- Communicate quote requirements to partner retailers, management, and field staff
- Develop commercial sales opportunities with new and existing clients
- Call new leads from our CRM to generate new opportunities
- Go to customers homes to estimate work, create quotes, and sell work
- Provide virtual consultations over the phone to determine if we can help customers with their project
- Develop product and technical knowledge to be able to explain our services and products to customers
What you bring to the table

- You manage your time and priorities effectively to achieve your goals.
- You’re comfortable maintaining customer records in a CRM.
- You are willing to get out there and prospect for new leads whenever the need arises.
- You have a clean driving record and are able to pass a criminal background check.
- Experience with trades/construction estimating or sales is desired but not required
