Full description of the position
Ford Pro, Specialty Vehicle Sales Manager is responsible for the production allocation, order scheduling, reassignments (sales), and upfitter inventory for all Converter Pool and RV upfitters
- Enthusiasm for working with Ford Pro Commercial Upfitter customers and industry partners to grow sales, market share and increase customer loyalty of Ford commercial vehicles
- Field sales/service and/or General Office sales/service/production planning experience strongly desired
- Self-starter with can do attitude, emotional resilience, smart work ethic, and ability to deliver results with minimal supervision
- Task oriented individual capable of skillfully managing multiple competing issues, opportunities, and objectives
- Strong analytical skills are highly desired; must have excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail are critical elements of the role
- Ability to build strong relationships, influence others to embrace initiatives and inspire action
- Strong verbal/written communication, and presentation skills
- Candidate must be able to travel overnight; estimated travel is 10-25% per month
- Position is based in Dearborn Michigan
- Manage the customer relationships for 180+ Converter and RV Pool Upfitters on all Ford Pro Specialty Vehicle (SV) related items
- Manage communication and issue resolution with key internal/external stakeholders as appropriate to assist/support customer upfitters.
- Manage the business relationship with two external marketing organizations/partners that manage several reward and demo programs
- Manage all Specialty Vehicle program responsibilities and required communication with assigned upfitters:
- Work with SV upfitters to achieve vehicle sales & share objectives by vehicle line.
- Utilize key market share and competitive data to inform upfitters and develop robust business plans to grow the Ford Pro Commercial Vehicle Small Fleet (NFS 1-25) business.
- Work with SV upfitters and facing Ford Pro Commercial Vehicle personnel to implement Sales and Share targets.
- Provide upfitters regular updates on key information and breaking news.
- Review and approve Sales and Share improvement / business plans with upfitters.
- Monitor and reinforce Converter Pool Program compliance including resolution of probation issues.
- Identify market opportunities to add new/additional upfitters in line with market data.
- Provide consultation on all vehicle lines to encourage upfitter emphasis in various commercial fleet segments.
