The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling flow control products to the steel and powder metallurgy industries. The Sales Engineer will serve as the technical expert for these products, providing guidance and support to both internal and external customers. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the engineering team to understand the technical aspects of the products and will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
· Customer-facing Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service lead for steel and powder metal customers
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities for flow control products
· Understand and articulate the technical aspects of flow control products to potential customers
· Work closely with the engineering team to understand product specifications and capabilities
· Develop and deliver technical presentations to potential customers
· Develop and execute pricing strategy for flow control products
· Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote flow control products
· Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals to potential customers
· Maintain strong relationships with existing customers
Qualifications - Required
· Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business)
· Ability to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads
· Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
· Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
Qualifications - Preferred
· 3+ years of experience in sales or ceramic engineering, preferably in the steel or powder metallurgy industry
· Strong technical knowledge of continuous casting products
· Product development and launch experience
· Existing network of industry connections within the steel and powder metallurgy industries (globally)
As a sales engineer, you are in a position to influence the future of the company. You will nurture current relationships with customers and develop new ones.
You will receive many requests for product information and will discover many possible opportunities. Your task is to qualify opportunities. Which ones need a product or service that we can provide in a way that other suppliers do not or cannot? What new opportunities require development of a product or service that the company is uniquely capable of developing? Is the opportunity the best use of our resources? Is it sustainable—is it of long-term value to the customer, to industry, and to the company?

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
