Description
The ideal candidate will display a strategic expertise by leading a team of sales professionals (Media Strategists) and executing a digital sales strategy that delivers customer solutions through an integrated suite of media platforms. The position will report to the General Manager with dotted line responsibilities to a Regional Sales Director.
Responsibilities
- The DSM works with Media Strategists on developing proposals and digital strategies, going on weekly sales calls and developing opportunities that drive customer results. Also, work with an internal Ad Operations team that manages and optimizes campaigns.
- Attend client sales calls with Media Strategists designed to uncover needs and provide solutions that result in increased sales activity
- Providing on-going training, product updates, campaign reporting, all optimization efforts and campaign renewals while executing a clear path ensuring sales and client success.
- Proactively monitors and manages campaigns to make appropriate adjustments to improve performance and ongoing optimization for all digital accounts to ensure effective campaign delivery, client satisfaction and campaign renewals.
- Attends and manages sales calls with Media Strategists as needed to help them prepare and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Communicates campaign results and proof of performance to customers in tandem with Media Strategists at a minimum of one time per month
- Attend and lead weekly sales meetings providing product trainings, client success stories, objections, and role-playing activities.
- Develop account specific strategies to increase integrated revenue opportunities that opens opportunities for cross media solutions
Job Requirements-
- Previous experience in digital media, advertising, sales, marketing or related field highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital products, trends and opportunities
- Previous experience in leading sales teams, managing digital campaigns and working with multi-media sales teams
- Previous experience in developing presentations for the purpose of selling and ability to effectively present to clients in multiple industries
- Ability to respond to client, seller and management issues as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management and clients. The ability to handle and keep confidential information.
- Willingness to participate in learning and growth opportunities within and outside the company. Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Research and stay current on digital trends and opportunities.
- Encourage and motivate Media Strategists to book digital consultancy appointments.
- Present digital offerings and strategies to prospective clients.
- Follow up with presented clients and work with Media Strategists to close new business.
- Customize digital campaigns based on the client's needs and budget.
- Update sales materials to reflect current offerings and provide relevant examples of work.
- Track digital media revenue and pacing to annual goals.
- Track client's success with existing digital campaigns and collaborate with team on strategies to retain business year-to-year.
- Contribute to the overall team effort to provide the market with the best possible digital sales. Work in a team environment cooperatively and collaboratively with a variety of people. Build working relationships with co-workers, community members, and the public.
