External Sales Position Location:
The ideal candidate will live in Texas, in close proximity to a major airport to expedite travel throughout the assigned territory.
General Description:
The South Central Sales Representative will manage the implementation of MGK’s sales and marketing strategy at the territory level. The territory to be finalized covers Southern portions of Texas and Louisiana with a Strategic focus on Houston, San Antonio, Austin triangle. The position requires the skill set to aggressively sell MGK products in the marketplace by working directly with pest management professionals, distributors, and strategic market influencers in the structural pest control market.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Independent implementation of strategies and tactics aimed at growing sales and market share in defined territory.
- Weekly goal of 15 planned customer engagements utilizing in person and virtual selling environment
- Sales call planning at least 4 weeks out in Sales Force Calendar
- Utilization of Salesforce to Manage Territory meetings along with follow through of the MGK Sales Process
- Manage the MGK sales process with territory accounts to research, gain access to and present business fit proposals to gain agreement on initiatives, increase the use and/or support of MGK products within the accounts’ system.
- Primary sales focus is implementation of the MGK Market Based Strategy
- Key Accounts and Tier II
- Territory and zone development
- New Accounts
- Distribution locations and distributor sales people.
- Key Market Influencers
- Manage expenses within the assigned budget.
- Maintain and manage the assigned MGK company vehicle.
- Achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Maintain and improve technology skills including computer, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Attend and participate in regional and national sales meetings.
- Create internal and external presentations utilizing PowerPoint and other media.
- Excellent time management and planning skills are required to maximize customer calls and minimize travel time. Expect 50 – 60% overnight travel in this position.
Qualifications:
- A college degree is preferred with a minimum of two to five years sales experience.
- A proven record track record including selling skills combined with an enthusiasm for the selling process.
- Has a business mindset.
- Demonstrated skills in consultitative selling, building and maintaining customer relationships for the long-term.
- A highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication and presentation skills demonstrated planning and time management skills.
- High proficiency in computer use, specifically Microsoft Office and Sales Force/CRM.
