Now Hiring - Senior Electrical Applications Engineer in Solon, OH

You will provide engineering support and help internal and external customers with proper selection, installation, and application of our industry leading ERICO and ERIFLEX products.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL GET TO:

• Be a true subject matter expert including product design, manufacturing process, agency compliance and end-use application.
• Visit customer sites and promote the Facility Electrical Protection methodology and proper use of nVent ERICO products in the field.
• Provide market specific intelligence and feedback on products and services to the commercial teams. Assist commercial teams with voice of customer (VOC) activity.
• Provide technical assistance to identify modified and engineered systems based on customer specification and application requirements.
• Join and lead project teams working on product development and sustaining projects (Feature enhancements, cost reduction, product consolidation and line extension).
• Support nVent’s digital transformation through the development of various design, quoting and inspection tools.
• Review and create product training literature, including installation guides and procedures, operations manuals, and online learning management systems (LMS).
• Represent nVent on industry codes and standards committees.
• Assist customers in the proper selection and application of ERICO and ERIFLEX products.
• Provide product line support to the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) function including the Manufacturing, Supply and Quality departments.
• Travel up to 25%.

YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Ideally 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience relating to electrical power systems, electrical connectors or other electromechanical products is preferred – experience in electrical grounding, surge protection and lightning is ideal.
• Knowledge and understanding of electromechanical assemblies with a focus on applications, sales, and support an asset.
• Working knowledge of Low Voltage Power Systems beneficial.
• Awareness of electrical design and safety standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC, UL) preferred.
• Strong in-person and virtual communication skills with direct customers, engineers, and internal colleagues.
• Familiar with Electrical Lab equipment such as current generators, measurement instruments, and associated tools a plus.
• Project Management skills a bonus.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) a plus.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
