Position Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for project and order management which includes meeting all customer expectations and timelines. Their duties include continuously looking for ways to improve processes and communicates ideas to direct management, while proactively managing/driving project process, soliciting new business, and promoting the company’s products and services. The Account Manager is expected to drive Container Graphics CS1 mindset and always represent the company in a positive, energetic, and consistent manner. The Account Manager reports directly to the Senior Account Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Expedite, manage, and screen the order process in a timely, accurate and complete manner
- Maintain all records pertaining to orders, customer database and other related communications in a safe and organized manner according to company guidelines
- Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer problems and concerns
- Collect, coordinate, and responded timely information needed to respond to customer requests (i.e., timelines and order status)
- Anticipate bottlenecks, clarifies project priorities, identifies risk, and escalates issues that cannot be resolved
- Participate in all required meetings (i.e., project kick off’s, graphic reviews, vendor, and status meetings)
- Communicate art and printing recommendations
- Coordinate and collaborate with other partners on the account
- Monitor all trackers and provide status updates
- Manage all initial requests form customers and monitor uploading of the art files
- Proactively communicate with the customer, plant personnel, and senior management preproduction meetings and timelines for all projects
- Monitor, manage, and communicate information from all trackers including, missing information or past due tasks to the customer, and other team members
- Follow all CGC corporate safety program requirements
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Education / Experience Requirements:
Position Level:
- Experienced
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of customer service/account manager experience
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or any related field
- 3-5 years of account manager experience
- Corrugated and consumer packaged goods (CPGs) background
Knowledge / Skills Requirements:
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluations and budgeting concepts
- Proficient in Google Workspace and the Corporation’s order entry/ERP software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
- Ability to read with comprehension, write accurately, listen carefully, and speak clearly
- Excellent organizational, time-management and leadership skills
- Strong decision-making skills and a result driven approach
- Basic knowledge of math fundamentals, including but not limited to fractions, decimals, and basic geometry
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work to accelerate the order process and ensure the customer due dates are met
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently at a fast pace
- Advanced computer skills, with an aptitude to learn new systems and procedures
- Hands-on knowledge of office machines and equipment
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, Illustrator)
- Knowledge of structural design software (e.g., Artios CAD)
- Ability to type quickly and accurately
- Understand online security best practices
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Perform repetitive motions
- Lift up to 25 pounds safely
Location Requirements:
- Hybrid Remote Position; working hours are based on the Central time zone
- Candidate must have access to a dedicated space to work with limited distractions and access to a fast uninterrupted Wi-Fi connection
- Up to 25% travel
- Ability to reliably commute to local CGC facility
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
