Full description of the position

Summary/Objective- The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing sales accounts and meeting sales goals by developing positive relationship with the customers, managing customer-specific sale & marketing initiatives, and ensuring a product portfolio that is most viable for both NPIC and the customers.

Essential Functions

· Act as the owner and champion of the customers with deep understanding of NPIC’s business strategies, tactical goals, and internal processes to ensure long-term success.

· Be the point of contact and handle customers’ need by collaborating with internal counterparts.

· Plan and implement customer-specific initiatives, including new product introduction and price change, and track/report the outcomes.

· Manage the relationship directly with the customers by calling monthly.

· Conduct quarterly business review to identify opportunity areas and identify action plans to close sales gap or drive sales growth.

· Represent the Company at regional and national events and interact with current and potential customers.

· Acquire new customers via existing business network, trade shows, and lead development.

· Collaborate with the Finance Team to conduct credit/background check of prospective customers and complete setup in the systems.

· Lead the on-boarding process for the new customers.

· Coordinate with customer service to address customer complaints regarding sales and service.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to food scents, and some food allergens. Typical office environment and hours are usual for this position.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be authorized to work in the US.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience in a customer service, sales, and business development required.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience in Consumer Goods and Food Manufacturing industry is preferred. Project management experience is also preferred.
