Role: Vendor Relationship Manager

Role Description:

Key responsibilities are:

The Vendor Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining successful relationships with our vendor network and establishing and measuring required performance levels from vendor onboarding throughout the entire relationship. This professional will look to assist in establishing KPIs and seek to decrease costs and turnaround time by proactively seeking and implementing measures that optimize our vendor network. This person will also oversee a team of Vendor Relationship Specialists.

· Delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations.

· Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.

· Develop metrics around vendor performance and develop SLAs and KPIs based on these metrics.

· Work with vendors to articulate and correct service failures or deficiencies.

· Responsible for the on-boarding process of vendors and will deal directly with vendor questions concerning process.

· Responsible for thorough understanding of SOWs, the Vendor Guidelines, and all compliance related requirements for our clients.

· Responsible for ensuring vendors have up to date information and standards as required.

· Proofreads and edit vendor communication drafts and final materials for appropriate and consistent format.

· Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective and efficient processes and strategies.

· Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers or other parties.

· Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.

Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience

· 5+ years of business experience in a Construction environment

· 3+ years managing vendor relationships

· Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills

· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

· The ability to multitask effectively

Qualifications

· Ability to make sound business decisions to deliver positive business results

· Can demonstrate specific examples of leading a team and being an innovative leader

· History of making an impact and delivering superior results in both the short and long term

· A general understanding of Construction Trades support processes and operating model

· Strong team player with confident presence and excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with internal and external teams

· Must be able to work independently, in cross-functional groups, and handle multiple and competing priorities, responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously, with minimal direction

· Proven track record building successful relationships and partnerships at all organizational levels, internally, externally, intra and interdepartmentally

· Must be able to meet tight deadlines, lead by example, and be willing and able to roll-up sleeves and dive into the details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
