Position Purpose:
As the Specialist, Vet Services Business Development Integrations within Pet Services at Petco, you will be responsible for supporting the vet services growth and expansion strategy, primarily through acquisition of new hospitals. This role will support all financial and commercial diligence for new business ventures while also overseeing the complete integration of all acquired hospitals and their assets.

Scope:
The incumbent will support all diligence and integration related processes pertaining to new business ventures and partnerships. The position will report directly to the Manager Business Development Integration Vet Services but will work cross functionally with the broader Pet Services team.

Essential Job Functions:
The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts (internal and external) with an emphasis on company interests

Develop and maintain working knowledge of veterinary hospital operations and prescription products

Manage core elements of data and PMS across legacy systems in addition to full integration into current systems

Implement and assist with onsite training and hospital support

Develop strategies and tactics in partnership with field leadership that result in compliance with industry and Vetco Total Care SOP quality standards

Lead new hospital implementation and training, set up all veterinary programs ensuring adoption of relevant policies and programs that drive quality improvement and provide feedback to drive success, partnering with field leadership as deemed necessary

Special projects as needed

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Organize and manage project timelines; develop meeting agendas and establish a cadence to maintain goals and objectives

Build relationships with key stakeholders; gain input and support where needed

Lead cross functional initiatives from kickoff through accountable execution

Nature of Supervision:
Minimal supervision is provided although close contact is maintained with direct supervisor to discuss, prioritize, and drive defined strategies and outcomes
Supervisory Responsibility
This position focuses on project management and assignment delegation promoting and supporting the transition of newly acquired vet assets but does not require leading any direct reports.

Education and Experience

3-5 years previous work experience in veterinary space

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Reporting and data analysis experience

Experience in business development, sales and/or M&A strongly preferred

Animal Health industry experience desired including but not limited to;

Licensed Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Assistant

2-5 years experience in a Veterinary Hospital

Competencies

Technical Skills: intermediate competencies in Microsoft products and database data entry experience

Works productively and able to navigate ambiguity or uncertainty while assuming positive intent in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Self-starter who needs minimal direction highly self-motivated and accountable with strong desire to innovate

Operates with high integrity, builds trust, quickly wins, and sustains credibility in relationships with others

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) including the ability to communicate to a broad audience

Results orientated and achievement motivated. Ability to meet deadlines and work well with others in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment
The majority of job responsibilities are performed while seated indoors with little exposure to hazards. Approximately 70% travel is required to field locations by plane or automobile.

Contacts
The partner will work primarily with the Vet Services Business Development team as well as field leadership and core cross-functional stakeholders at both support centers.

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
$87,100.00 - $130,700.00
