What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a strategy analyst to work the global long-term Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role will design the long-term global production plan in coordination with partner teams and support wide-ranging strategic decisions. Ideal candidates have experience in strategy and optimization, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and a passion for quantitative optimization problems.
What You’ll Do
  • Maintain and present a multi-year production plan that optimizes deliveries, profit, and sustainable growth
  • Gather feedback and ensure alignment to the production plan from supply chain, production, logistics, sales, finance, and executives
  • Collect and maintain inputs on key constraints, launch dates, etc. that effect the plan
  • Optimize global vehicle distribution based on sales forecasts, pricing, and market share data
  • Identify constraints and opportunities to improve the plan and present recommendations
  • Forecast bottlenecks in advance and coordinate decision-making and potential trade-offs with partner teams
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation in forecasting and planning processes
  • Track metrics in real time; identifying, and remedying discrepancies quickly
  • Coordinate, distribute, and explain production plan information and expectations to partner teams
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business/Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or equivalent experience / evidence of exceptional ability
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel
  • SQL skills preferred, exposure to Python or other programming experience a plus
  • 3+ years related experience in a consulting, finance, planning, analytics, or operations role
  • Supply chain or manufacturing industry experience a plus
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build organic support for key initiatives
  • Excellent judgment and ability to proactively anticipate complex chain-reaction impacts of plans
  • Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work
  • Embrace of change and rapid pace of work
