We are seeking a National Account Manager to join our team at our Burlington, WI facility. This critical role is responsible for overseeing and nurturing high-priority accounts, while actively executing company initiatives. As a key leader in our organization with management responsibility for sales team members, this position is a critical role in driving the company's growth and success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the main point of contact for assigned accounts, becoming intimate with their needs, objectives, and merchandising strategies and building a collaborative win-win relationship
- Collaborate with clients to develop account plans and strategies that align with their business goals.
- Strategically manage the day-to-day operations of assigned national accounts, including performance monitoring, tracking key metrics, ensuring client satisfaction, and proactively addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Act as liaison between clients and internal stakeholders (such as sales, product management, engineering, marketing, customer support) to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services to products.
- Develop account plans and provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis and industry insights (critical thinking & strategic mindset are a must)
- Identify and execute opportunities to upsell additional products or services to existing clients based their needs.
- Proactively manage contract renewals and term negotiations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to showcase our products and account performance, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement. Use data analysis to identify trends, opportunities and areas for optimization.
- Serve as the Voice of the Customer internally by providing feedback and input to internal teams to continuously improve products, services and the customer experience.
- Be a strategic advisor to customer partners by staying up to date on industry trends, reviewing competitive landscape and monitoring emerging technologies and strategies.
- Represent our brand at industry tradeshows and events
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a results-driven, responsible, passionate, analytical individual who has energy and creativity for problem-solving, strategy and execution.
- Available & excited for national travel to customer meetings, events, and tradeshows during peak seasons in US & Canada (up to 30%)
- Proven track record of successfully managing National Accounts, 5+ years of experience in Retail Sales/B2B Account Management. Experience in Hardware, Farm & Ag, and/or Home Improvement retail is ideal.
- Experience in coaching and managing others, while having an all-one-team mindset to support other Sales channels as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree with focus in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or Business
- Effective listening and professional communication skills including written, electronic, and verbal
