Now Hiring - Retail Sales Part Time Sales Associate in Baton Rouge, LA

We are a retail store which specializes in swimming pool supplies and services. We are looking for a responsible and friendly person to fill our in-store Sales Associate Position. We currently have a pleasant work environment and that’s important for us to maintain. If you have daily drama or a negative attitude- this isn’t the right fit for you.

Knowledge of pool related products would be preferred, but if you have retail or customer service experience, we are open to training.

Example of Daily Operations required by our Sales Associates:

*Show up for work with a positive attitude

*Help customers, solve problems and answer questions

*Operate Point-of-Sale systems to capture customer information, complete retail transactions, and make account payments

*Open and Close the register

*Perform accurate water tests and recommend products based on those results

*Answer phones, take detailed messages when necessary

*Assist in stocking and merchandising the store

*Ensure store is clean at all times

*Record service calls as they are received

*Follow-up with customers on special orders

*Safely handle swimming pool chemicals and fill chlorine jugs

*Other daily activities relevant to retail environment

Requirements:

*Previous retail and/or pool supply experience would be awesome, but will train the right person. Excellent customer service skills required. Cash register experience preferred.

*Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds.

*The position requires constant walking, bending, lifting, standing for long periods of time

*Ability to run the cash register with accuracy, answer phones and perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers.

*Must be 18 years or older.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
