Central Transport, LLC, a leader in LTL (less-than-truckload) transportation for more than 80 years is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Corporate Office in Warren, MI to pursue and promote new business relationships.

This is an outstanding opportunity for those interested in beginning their career in sales as well as those with previous sales experience. The requirements are to have an enthusiastic, positive attitude and the ability to change quickly to meet customer needs and market changes. Representatives are responsible for making warm and cold sales calls within their designated local territory on small to midsize customers to present our value driven services and obtain new leads.

Responsibilities will include:

· Prospecting new customers through warm and cold calling

· Managing existing accounts and expanding portfolio of services provided

· Establishing rapport and developing strong business relationships

· Negotiating terms and creating pricing agreements that are attractive to the customer yet profitable for the company

· Exceeding monthly activity for sales goals

· Executing detail-oriented solutions to complex, situational problem

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency

· Maintain and update accurate information in the company's operating systems

· Understand and support the goals, policies and procedures of Central Transport, LLC

· Maintain confidentiality of company information

The ideal candidate will possess:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related business field is preferred

· Experience in sales or transportation/logistics is helpful but not required

· Superior communication skills – including listening, reading, writing and speaking

· An aggressive, confident and competitive nature to drive sales growth

· Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)

· Willingness to learn specialized, company specific technology/programs

· Results Oriented Self Starter

· Strong drive to win

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
