We are looking for a talented sales leader to take on the role of Director of Sales for Aloft Alpharetta.

Job Description

Our Director of Sales will effectively:

  • Source out new corporate clients.
  • Continue relationships with current clients and identify new business from the result of the relationship.
  • Be responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group / catering related opportunities.
  • Possess the ability to actively sell using a “grass root” sales mentality.
  • Use the internet to prospect to identify and close new business.
  • Work with the Regional Sales Director to achieve required sales goals.
  • Have current knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts and promotions.
  • Respond to all sales inquiries, RFP’s and other leads accurately, timely and in a professional manner.
  • Type correspondence, reports, and necessary forms i.e. contracts, as well as prepare proposals or other letters as directed;
  • Team management experience required; Other duties as determined by hotel management.

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven Director of Sales experience in a hotel is required.
  • Knowledge of local market preferred.
  • Branded hotel experience preferred, and Marriott experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Delphi FDC preferred.
  • Complete required Sales Reports.
  • Ability to read and decipher financial reports and records.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel if needed.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • The ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.
