The Territory Account Manager for Central Ohio/Southeast Michigan is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies in collaboration with Channel partners to accelerate and identify growth opportunities to meet or exceed annual sales goals. This individual will also lead the Channel strategy for Information Software and IoT solutions, coordinating efforts between Rockwell, partners and selected accounts. This role will focus on opportunistic pursuits, new business, conversion of new business, identifying and closing new contracts/deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Owns the account strategy within selected accounts and communicates to extended teams on an account by account basis. Collaborates closely with Channel Partners.
Drives Information SW and IoT strategy with Channel Partners at selected accounts. Collaborates with Rockwell Information Software (IS) Account Rep Team for Lead Generation, IS Sales resources & regional solution consultants, and Rockwell Sales pursuit desk.
Helps drive competency and focus in IS space with channel partners.
Understands the Integrator Ecosystem for Information SW delivery.
Establishes strong relationships at all organizational levels within the customer base and understands customers’ processes, business drivers and organizational models.
Follows the Rockwell Automation sales process: knows assigned accounts, plans for growth, maintains a healthy funnel, drives opportunities to closure and evaluates performance to goal.
Understands the industry (applications, standards/regulations, drivers and trends), the customer’s organization and desired business outcomes and Rockwell Automation offerings and delivery mechanisms as well as partner capabilities relevant to assigned accounts.
Works with Channel partners to qualify customer opportunities, engage the appropriate resources and coordinate the solution design to impact the customer’s decision process and presents solutions to the customer.
Coordinates with Channel partner and Rockwell Automation account team, senior management and a technical engagement team (domain experts) to plan for and win identified opportunities.
Maintains accurate assessment of target and opportunity funnel within the Dynamics Customer Relationship Management system.
Sets and helps manage internal/external partner expectations.
Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Valid driver’s license.
Travel: Ability to travel 30-50% in market
Preferred Qualifications:
Typically requires 5+ year of sales experience selling through distributors or channel partners.
Prior experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, channel sales or system integration
Experience selling digital transformation solutions, IIOT and industry 4.0 offerings
Executive presence working with distributors and partners
This role will be covering primarily (Central ("Columbus", OH/Northwest "Toledo" Ohio) with possible accounts in Southeast Michigan. The candidate selected must be willing and able to travel through the listed areas to meet with customers and partners.
