We are looking for a full-time Sales Engineer in our Alpharetta, Georgia location!
The Sales Engineer’s responsibilities will include day-to-day support of the sales team with a strong emphasis on understanding of all technical aspects of a product(s), while working alongside sales to explain them to potential customers (districts, resellers, and A&E Firms). Their duties include consulting on product development, explaining product features, and Pre and Post Implementation support.
Job Duties Include:
- Prepare and give technical presentations explaining how the products and services work
- Train other members of the sales team on the technical aspects of the company’s products and services
- Discuss equipment needs and system requirements with customers
- Communicate with the sales team to understand customer demands and offer sales support where necessary
- High Level Engineering/Networking Support
- Maintains knowledge of industry advancements and technologies
- Creates and maintains competitive analysis documents
- Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective, feature rich, etc.
- Weekly Reporting detailing KPI progress and predetermined monthly, quarterly, and yearly objectives
- Attend Trade Shows (As Assigned)
- Attend sales meetings and customer demos as requested
- Reviewing engineer drawings, AE documents, and AE quotes as requested
- Work with Construction Department (As Assigned)
- Be a resource to review drawings and specs
- Assist in design as needed, provide guidance and training.
- Continue to hold credentialing and licensing to assist.
- Engage with Architects and Engineers as appropriate
- Assist with RFI submittals
- Maintain CSI construction Spec’s and Drawings
- Strong Familiarity with NFPA 70, 72
- Ability to research and become familiar with local codes as applicable.
- Understanding of applicable standards and installation guidelines for project including but not limited to BICSI, TIA/EIA, AVIXA etc.
- Familiarity with design and layout Structured Cabling Systems, Distributed Audio Systems and Camera Systems.
- Minimum 5 years field experience in installation of distributed audio, paging and camera systems in commercial buildings
- Experienced in digital drafting and design software.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
- Organized, motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision.
Compensation:
Wage is negotiable based on skill level and experience.
