POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Team Manager at PRI Productions is responsible for providing direction, instruction, and advice to the event sales department. In addition, s/he is responsible for overseeing the performance and productivity of the event sales department and ensuring the highest possible level of responsiveness to all inquiries and exceptional service to all clients and prospective clients. Under the direction of the Vice President of Business Development and Community Relations, he or she will communicate sales targets, manage the sales performance of assigned staff, and maintain up-to-date metrics regarding sales quotas, productivity and closing ratios of the sales team, at both the team and individual levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fields all incoming web and phone inquiries to gather information while making an excellent first impression as a brand ambassador
- Directs the assignment of each lead to the most appropriate member of the event production team for follow-up
- Writes up and processes orders of minimum complexity when engagement from an event planner/producer is deemed unnecessary
- Communicates sales targets for each member of the sales team based on performance and corporate growth expectations
- Maintains constant communication with sales representatives on the status of leads and conversions to improve individual and collective sales performance
- Follows-up thoroughly on all leads and business opportunities
- Models the highest possible level of responsiveness and the delivery of exceptional service to all clients and prospective clients and demands this from the sales team
- Analyzes sales statistics and communicates emerging trends to leadership
- Ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout all interactions via web, phone or in person
- Attends and presides over weekly sales meetings
- Generates monthly reports to determine if sales goals have been met in support of corporate growth targets
- Manages day-to-day sales performance of all team members
- Embodies corporate culture and serves as key brand ambassador
- Ensures correct utilization of CRM and other sales applications
- Assists in the onboarding, training, and continuous coaching of team members
- Assists in developing team strengths and improving team weaknesses
- Assists in resolving conflict and navigating with leadership when necessary
- Assists in organizing team initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of two years in a sales role, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Minimum of two years prior team lead/management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact thoughtfully with colleagues at all levels
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
