Director, Business Development
Join our dynamic team at Innovative Refrigeration Systems and play a pivotal role in driving our growth. Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is the premier custom industrial refrigeration system design builder in the world. We engineer, design, manufacture and construct custom refrigeration solutions for our customers all across North America. We are looking for a motivated, ambitious Director of Business Development to help us expand our customer base across multiple business units and better support our existing clients.
Job Role: The Director of Business Development is responsible for growing our customer base for our refrigeration training school (IRTC) and our Aftermarket Services teams. This role will build relationships and create opportunities with new and existing customers across the industry for our entire product portfolio.
Key Duties:
- Oversee the entire sales lifecycle—from prospecting new business opportunities to closing deals and managing accounts within the refrigeration sector
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision makers for existing and new key customer accounts
- Manage all aspects of aftermarket training and sales
- Serve as a technical consultant on our product range, ensuring alignment with customer requirements
- Consult with internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are being addressed
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build relationships and promote the brand and our services
- Handle general customer service with existing accounts and new business accounts, including communicating directly with the customers to facilitate services after quoting is completed
- Grow our customer base through various methods including prospecting/cold calling
- Maintain CRM with accurate customer information
Requirements:
- 5+ years prior experience in a similar service oriented, customer facing business development role
- Prior experience with company led training programs is desirable
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue & profit targets
- Ability to interact with site-level personnel and corporate executives
- Mechanical inclination; this role requires technical communication with our customer base
- Proficiency with CRMs such as Hubspot/Salesforce
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
