POSITION: National Segment Sales Manager
DEPARTMENT: NCA
REPORTS TO: Director, Segment Sales
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing the National Brands Sales Segment. The position develops and implements planning and strategy for new business opportunities by identifying top influencers in our current programs to expand the national account business by setting short and long-term program goals. This position will also require calling on the architectural community as well as GC’s, installers and other brands specifiers. Implement corporate strategy, maintain a safe work environment and be a good steward of Nichiha.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead team to implement agreed upon sales strategies (i.e. sales programs).
- Identify and interface with, and build relationships with National Brand Accounts, Architects, General Contractors, Installers and other influencers in the construction community.
- Ensure that Nichiha USA is presented with optimum business opportunities to create long term growth and success.
- Work with Director of Segment Sales to implement strategic plans for growth that emphasizes increased sales.
- Review and maintain high profile customer relationships as identified.
- Provide strategic input to upper management. Identify and report on potential opportunities to promote sales growth.
- Be an expert on product, market, competition in the exterior cladding space.
- Understand needs and customer expectations of Nichiha Brands Division.
COMPETENCIES:
- The ideal candidate for this position has strong business acumen, professional presence, excellent interpersonal skills and critical/creative problem solving skills.
- The candidate should have a proven past history of leadership and establishing short and long term sales execution.
- The candidate understands the construction process and fundamental challenge of an extended sales cycle for specified products and V.E. optimization.
- Ability to make an impact on key decision makers
- Excellent team player but also works well independently
- Attends national, regional and customer trade shows to create Nichiha market presence.
- Ability to handle multiple projects
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 10 years of progressive sales experience
- Outstanding organization, time management, and administrative skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise effective judgment, confidentiality and sensitivity to employee needs and business situations
