Job Summary:
The Manager of Business Development - Drayage will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Drayage Account Managers for Cardinal Logistics. This individual will assist in driving of organic growth within the Drayage Customer portfolio. The Drayage Account Manager Team will be comprised of Drayage Account Managers and Senior Drayage Account Managers and be primarily focused on driving organic growth within the current Cardinal Drayage Customer base. Additionally the Manager of Business Development- Drayage will work with organizational sales representatives at all levels to help convert new opportunities from outside prospects as opportunities arise. The Manager of Business Development- Drayage will report to the Manager of Drayage Operations.

Essential Functions:

• Supervises and mentors Drayage Account Managers and Senior Drayage Account Managers.
• Develops and teaches Sales Training Material to develop Account Management Team.
• Assist in onboarding of new Drayage Account Managers.
• Assist Sr/Drayage Account Managers in ongoing Needs Assessment calls and helping to identify true opportunity
• Work collaboratively with Enterprise Solutions Team as well as Network Branch Mangers to build solutions to add value to prospects supply chain.
• Work to ensure proper account transition occurs between Hunting Sales Rep and Dray Team with all SOPs clearly outlined to properly support the business.
• Other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• Bachelor degree preferred in Transportation/Logistics.
• Three of more years of related experience.
• Have achieved sales objectives and use creativity and initiative to overcome client objections.
• Must be comfortable making presentations to a variety of people at multiple management levels.
• Must be a fluent communicator in person, telephone, and e-mail.
• Taking role must not violate a non-compete/solicit agreement.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office products.
• Must be coachable.
