The SVP of Business Development helps shapes the current, and future state, strategy of Razorfish growth along with the Head of Business Development and other senior leaders at the organization. They provide a focused view of all Razorfish North America opportunities and prioritize these pursuits based on value and return and are also accountable for growth targets of two regional portfolio books.
SVPs understand the now and the next of Razorfish and work closely with discipline leads and marketing teams to define how Razorfish is positioned in the market and can identify blank space opportunities to generate demand. They create a favorable sales environment by engaging in industry events and other demand gen engagements and work with the Head of Business development to set forth outbound strategies.
SVPs are doers as much as they are thinkers and pacesetters. Working alongside teams to drive forward complex pursuit opportunities at Razorfish and within Groupe through Power of One pursuits from early stage to close.
Culturally, the SVP of Business Development must demonstrate and acknowledge new levels of accountability as it relates to business development growth goals and people growth. They evaluate continuously and boldly recalibrate to achieve meaningful outcomes. They own mistakes and successes as an opportunity for continual improvement. Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Proven track record of engaging and growing their agency's roster and revenue with c-level and other senior executives who are the decision-makers of digital marketing, marketing transformation, marketing technologies, or integrated marketing for stand-out brands
- SVPs specifically position solutions where Razorfish will drive holistic change from front stage customer experience and journey to key capabilities behind back-stage organization and operations
- Experience should include: business development, financial management rigor, smart prospecting, pursuit prioritization and mapping, honing a tailored marketing strategy, optimizing pitch approach, crafting clear narrative showcasing creative, data, and technology, instilling a win or learn mentality amongst their team, accountable tracking of progress against plans and budgets, and creating a culture of aggressive growth within the agency
- Understand and articulate (orally, written) the company value proposition into credentials with up-to-date information and latest thinking
- Promote new business best practices across Razorfish offices
- Responsible to help close new business deals after initial meetings with potential new clients.
- Partner with Razorfish Account leads to identify organic growth opportunities and execute intentional organic growth plans
- Pro-actively brings recommendations for refinement, improvement and sharing of the Razorfish pitch process for greater success and efficiency
- Partner with Managing Directors/Functional Leaders to develop compelling case studies of our work that showcase our capabilities and results driven by Razorfish globally
- Build and maintain new relationships; prospect outreach/ relationship development
- 12+ years of experience building business for a digital agency
- Exceptional written communicator; superior organization and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively across many levels and functions within the company
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task under deadlines
- Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote skills; ability to learn/use other information systems
- Ability to reach across the cross-functional aisles and the various capability groups across the organization to drive more wins.
- Ability to understand macro business issues and articulate value generating opportunities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and skilled at working effectively with matrixed, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent collaboration skills in building relationships with delivery and client success team.

Compensation Range: $167,000 - $299,500. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off
