As an EWP Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for leading our EWP sales initiatives in coordination with our existing outside sales reps, design staff and other internal partners.

Responsibilities:
As an EWP Sales Specialist, you will call on an existing customer base of independent lumberyards and prospect for new accounts within your territory. This includes route planning, call planning, business development, product training, and product demonstrations, as well as resolving customer service issues and meeting all goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Recommending EWP products to customers based on needs and interests
  • Consulting Palmer-Donavin OSR's and driving EWP initiatives
  • Contacting regular and prospective customers to demonstrate and explain products
  • Facilitating estimates and bids that meet specific customer needs
  • Consulting with clients after the sale in order to resolve problems and provide support
  • Answering questions about products, warranties, prices, availability, uses, and credit terms
  • Identifying and building relationships with prospective customers
  • Participating in organizations and clubs; attending trade shows and conferences specific to EWP (CSI, AIA, local HBA's/BIA's)
  • Negotiating details of contracts and payments; assist in preparing contracts

Qualifications:
Requirements:

You must be tenacious, self-managed, team-oriented and able to deliver a high level of customer service. You must understand the building materials industry well enough to discern customers from competitors. A qualified candidate should be independent, entrepreneurial, and able to run a territory like their own business. You must have a strong work ethic and be ready to become a responsible and competitive owner.
Other requirements include:
  • 1 – 2 years of Inside and/or Outside Sales experience, required
  • Knowledge and some level of technical aptitude of EWP, required
  • Understanding of CAD and general design principles, nice to have
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history
  • Satisfactory criminal history report
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
