We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Service to join our employee benefits agency. As the Director of Sales and Service, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales and service professionals and ensuring exceptional client service. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, developing strategic relationships, and delivering high-quality employee benefits solutions to our clients. This role requires a combination of strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role will report directly to the CEO.

Director of Sales and Service
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Service to join our employee benefits agency. As the Director of Sales and Service, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales and service professionals and ensuring exceptional client service. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, developing strategic relationships, and delivering high-quality employee benefits solutions to our clients. This role requires a combination of strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role will report directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team. Set clear performance expectations, monitor individual and team performance, and provide regular feedback. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
2. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand their needs, provide expert advice, and recommend tailored employee benefits solutions. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving coordinating with the Sales and Service Teams.
3. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and networking activities. Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to create effective sales strategies and campaigns. Attend industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and build a strong professional network.
4. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in employee benefits and insurance products. Maintain a deep understanding of our offerings and effectively communicate the value proposition to clients. Provide input to senior leadership on product enhancements and market demands.
5. Sales/Service Reporting and Analysis: Track and analyze sales/service metrics, generate regular reports, and present findings to senior management. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance effectiveness and operational efficiency.
6. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Stay informed about relevant legal and regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to sales and service processes.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in sales leadership within the employee benefits or insurance brokerage industry. 10+ years of overall employee benefits experience.
3. Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve exceptional results.
6. In-depth knowledge of employee benefits products, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related offerings.
7. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
8. Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and sales analytics tools.
9. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
10. Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
11. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
