Radio One is looking for the best and brightest Local Sales Manager to join our Sales Team in Houston.
- Training and coaching and developing current staff
- Consistently recruiting for new local sales staff
- Effective time management and prioritization skills to ensure completion of all business needs
- To develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive sales plan to ensure that the station meets the negotiated annual sales revenues on an ongoing basis
- Effectively lead biweekly sales meetings
- To regularly consult with internal and external resources to solicit objective input as it relates to the overall planning process
- Actively investigate or solicit potential client partners for all brands
- To effectively, manage customer issues and suggestions on an ongoing basis
- To coordinate the appropriate allocation of relevant company resources as it applies to ongoing sales issues and concerns
- To appropriately represent the company when attending relevant industry and community related events on an ongoing basis
- To ensure that effective interdepartmental communication occurs on an ongoing basis.
- Daily approval of sales orders and all other business workflows to ensure all deadlines are met
- To document all relevant information as it applies to the sales process on an ongoing basis.
- To attend Management, Promotion and Sales meetings as needed.
- To develop, implement and monitor all relevant department policies & procedures on an ongoing basis.
- To "trouble-shoot" on relevant Operational issues as needed.
- To ensure that effective interdepartmental communication occurs on an ongoing basis.
- To approve and monitor sick leave and vacation schedule on an ongoing basis.
- Highly motivated and creative individual who is looking for ways to innovate
- Team management experience is a plus
- Committed to building and developing new relationships
- Maintaining and building strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Professional demeanor, and excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
- Successful track record working with major accounts
- Web sales, and CRM experience is a plus
- Knowledge in the following industries, radio, digital, marketing, advertising, a plus
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, minimum of 5 years radio experience necessary. Valid driver's license and state mandated automobile insurance.
