Hiring for Cincinnati, OH and Orland Park, IL offices.

Job Summary:

Sales / Business Development provides daily engagement with clients and Alliance team. Primary job is to develop existing and new relationships through service, continuously improving product knowledge and developing new business. Capitalizing and contributing to the efforts of Alliance Shippers corporate philosophy.


Responsibilities:

  • Providing client solutions ranging from: asset to non-asset temperature control, intermodal, over-the-road, ocean and air transportation. While understanding the client’s needs and identifying and providing the client the best solution.
  • Identify and secure new business from existing and new clients and/or identify areas for improvement to meet sales goals.
  • Partner with different internal teams such as: pricing, operations, and account receivables to positively impact customer experience with Alliance Shippers.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Effective time management allowing you to be most productive.
  • Document all sales activity in CRM in compliance to process and policy.
  • Attend Industry conferences and events.


The Candidate:

  • Previous Business Development experience is preferred, not required.
  • BS or BA degree preferred or 5+ years logistics services.
  • In-depth knowledge of the features, benefits, and technical aspects of providing logistics services.
  • Possess a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales goals with an ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Passion for continuously learning industry insights and collaboration.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Goal-driven and accountable for meeting performance objectives.

  • 1+ years experience in Business-to-Business Sales (preferred)
  • 1+ years Supply Chain Industry experience (preferred)
