Position Responsibilities

  • Travel domestically and internationally to grow sales of existing products at assigned accounts and identify custom co-development opportunities with current customers and for target customers and applications.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maintain differentiated levels of customer satisfaction and value at assigned accounts.
  • Work effectively with segment Research and Development team to maximize value creation from New Product Development opportunities using Shepherd’s stage gate development process.
  • Work effectively with Shepherd supply chain team to maintain accurate demand forecasts, manage commodity market risk and to facilitate differentiated delivery and working capital management results.
  • Understand competitors value proposition and market pricing and recommend marketing and pricing strategies to Carboxylates/Organics sales manager.

Education/Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field such as chemistry or chemical or other engineering and other technical areas or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • MS Office expertise

Desired

  • 3-5 years of experience in technical, chemical B2B sales
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with a successful sales history
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams
  • International sales experience

Location/Travel

  • We are seeking a sales professional based out of our home office in Norwood, OH with the ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

Note: This position requires US Citizenship, Green Card, or Permanent Residency in the US.
