Brief Job Description:

The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for new name sales of Aptys products and services including 3rd party partners’ ancillary solutions from Aptys to Financial Institutions delivered in on-premises, Cloud hosted IaaS, and SaaS environments.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Technology Solution selling in the Financial Industry including system, software, and services
  • Structured approach to value based, Consultative and Relationship Selling
  • Understand what drives executive buying decisions
  • Ability to linking financial measurements to business value
  • Understand business value, and how to properly position it to the C-level
  • Effectively communicating business value to the C-Suite
  • Structure and negotiate a winning proposal
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Understand the steps required to move up the value chain and become a “Trusted Advisor” to differentiate from competition
  • Penetrate gatekeepers and other obstacles to secure appointments with high-level managers
  • Tailor and deliver presentations to achieve executive buy-in both in-person and virtually
  • Close sales faster by gaining access to the top decision makers
  • Understand the right questions to ask the C- level executives to effectively qualify opportunities
  • Makes clear and persuasive sales presentations
  • Negotiates win-win agreements that meet Aptys sales and business objectives, and satisfy customer requirements
  • Closing sale and getting commitment to buy
  • Obtains referrals from satisfied customers
  • Must have strong prospecting skills
  • Excellent human relations skills, including written and verbal communications
  • Must be able to organize activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously with effective and timely follow-up on each
  • Possess a positive attitude while operating under pressure
  • Ability to learn and foundational understanding of the payments industry including digital payments, mobile payments, card payments, faster payments, check, ACH, and wire.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed quota
  • Lead generation activities including Cold calls and emails
  • Preliminary qualifications
  • Group presentations and demonstrations
  • Ensure that established territorial goals are met
  • Develop overall tactical approach to assigned territory.
  • Build credible relationships with prospects and clients in the region.
  • Analyze prospects needs and communicate the needs internally and externally
  • Perform the duties and support other territories in the absence of the assigned Regional Reps when required
  • Attend tradeshows when assigned
  • Take an active role in the local and regional credit union and/or bank events
  • Find, develop, advance, and close sales in a timely manner and meet company revenue and margin targets
  • Identify, research and connect with prospective clients within a target market
  • Develop and foster business relationships with C-level executives and other key stakeholders
  • Collaborate, develop, and lead strategies to generate a strong pipeline and to win complex and large accounts
  • Manage the sales process to ensure delivery against performance metrics
  • Be accountable for accurate forecasting, clear communication to Aptys leadership, and successfully managing customer activities and reports
