This Truck Lease & Rental Sales Account Manager position earns a competitive wage, depending on skills and experience. Annual salary plus commission. Position Summary: This position sells vehicle rental and leasing services to businesses and individuals in accordance with established profit and customer satisfaction guidelines.

Position Responsibilities:

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from internal referral, media, business directories, and other relevant sources.
• Visits prospective customers to stimulate interest in establishing or expanding vehicle rental/leasing programs.
• Explains the concept and benefits of rental/leasing to customers.
• Recommends the type of vehicle needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
• Computes rental/leasing charges, based on such factors as length of contract, anticipated mileage, and applicable taxes.
• Prepares and sends rental/leasing contracts to the appropriate party.
• Understands and complies with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding vehicle sales and rental/leasing.
• Assists in the development of advertising campaigns.
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

Qualifications:

• Requires thorough knowledge of truck rental department’s processes
• Prefer direct truck selling experience
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Requires strong leadership ability and decision making skills
