This role joins our fast-paced seed operations organization focused on the development and execution of logistics and process improvement strategies for Blue River Organic Seeds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Dealer Account Management

a. Build relationships with key employee’s at assigned dealerships

b. Understand the roles of employees within the dealership – know who to go to for what

c. Maintain familiarity with the types of products they purchase

d. Maintain a minimum of 3-6 personal contacts annually outside of normal order and shipping contact

i. Items of interest/value – business related or otherwise

ii. In person if possible but remote contact is fine

2. Account and Order Maintenance in ERP Software

a. Create and update accounts

b. Accurately maintain CRM data on accounts

i. Keep contact and billing info and notify fields up to date

ii. Primary contact and best phone numbers

iii. Maintain/track ship to locations

iv. Customer Info Tab

1. Region, RSM, Account manager fields

2. Map, Web and Email fields

3. Terms, Credit Limit fields

4. Price code, Customer Status fields

5. Dealer account + Customer comments (end user accounts)

c. Enter and edit orders for dealers

d. Run sales reports, inventory reports and statements for dealers

3. Dealer shipping and logistics coordination

a. Annually confirm shipping/account info on assigned accounts

i. Address, phone, contact, email

ii. Pallet jack on site

iii. Dock - Residential

iv. Desired ETA for seed delivery (where is this info stored?)

b. At time of shipping

i. Confirm and update “on order” list with dealer

ii. Identify and select “available” products to ship

iii. Create “pick list” and pallet signs for order

iv. Check lot numbers and confirm accuracy of picked product in ERP system

v. Notify customers and dealers when seed ships

c. Work with Logistics Manager AND/OR Warehouse Site Leads to coordinate daily and weekly shipping schedule

4. Back up RSM when they are on the road

a. Availability and pricing

b. Entering orders – sending confirmations and on order reports

5. Ensure compliance with all company policies, state and federal law licensing requirements regarding seed sales and treatment.

6. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required by the Albert Lea Seed House.

7. Perform other job and work related responsibilities, tasks and projects as needed or assigned.

Education, Credentials and Experience

· Minimum 3 years relevant experience in sales, customer service, seed operations, agriculture or seed-related role.

· Computer proficiency in MS office products and Outlook. Ability to learn database software and ERP software.

· Strong organization and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to set appropriate boundaries with staff and customers.

· Knowledge of seed species and varieties is preferred.

Physical Demands

· Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

· Bending, twisting and reaching conducive to both an office and warehouse environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
