Full description of the position

Primary Purpose of Position

The Account Manager is responsible for (1) the development of new markets and new prospects with the intention of creating new accounts, and (2) maintaining and growing client accounts assigned to them. The Account Manager acts as a project manager and designer for audio, video, lighting and staging products offered by the company. The Account Manager is also responsible for the profitability of each separate production and reporting of plans to that end.

Duties and Responsibilities

Developing relationships with new clients in order to expand business operations into other markets;

Maintaining relationships with current clients and growing their accounts to include additional events;

Designing event systems for clients, potentially including audio, video, staging, and lighting products as required by the event’s needs;

Composing and communicating design and cost proposals to clients for events;

Assisting with logistics and event support regarding staffing and transportation;

Responsible for adhering to standards and practices as established by Senior Management;

Supervision of payroll for show and warehouse employees;

Serving as an Event Technician in any discipline when necessary.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of production equipment and techniques to include audio, video, lighting, décor, and event management;

Able to design a production event to a component level in at least one of the above disciplines, and generally in all of the above disciplines; Vectorworks or CAD experience highly desirable

Complete communications skill set to include customer service, employee relations and HR, and professionalism;

Present a clean and professional demeanor and appearance;

Working knowledge of PC computer office software to include MSOutlook, MSWord, MSExcel;

Ability to learn database software as required for inventory control and invoicing

Physical Requirements

Must be able to attend a regular schedule of office hours and able to travel to job sites as required.

Must be able to operate all RCI vehicles and must maintain a current license and DOT Medical Card.

Must be able to see and hear sufficiently to judge the proper application of the product.

• Must be able to walk extended distances, potentially including stairs, to effectively attend job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
