Full description of the position

Group Hospitality packages are all-inclusive events on Red Sox game dates consisting of private and semi-private function spaces, food and beverage buffets, and Red Sox Group tickets. The Group Hospitality Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales efforts of our Group Hospitality catalog by maximizing ticket, rental space and food and beverage revenue across all function spaces throughout the season. The Group Hospitality Manager will also assist in the development and execution of our Group Hospitality Sales planning each year to include pricing recommendations and develop collateral pieces.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve as leader of the department’s Hospitality Sales, maximizing ticket, rental space, and food and beverage revenue across all function spaces throughout the season
    • Coordinate and execute a minimum of 50 sales activities per day with a focus on Group Hospitality Sales while also maintaining a small book of Group Business
    • Develop new leads through cold calling, networking events, utilization of CRM tools, marketing automation platforms, social selling, and referrals from current customers
    • Ideate, develop, and execute pricing and go-to-market strategies
    • Create dynamic hospitality sales cadences and processes in Outreach and Conversica
    • Conduct weekly Hospitality meetings with Group Sales team to provide guidance and share best practices
    • Produces reports to best reflect department, self, and AE Hospitality progress
    • Work in close conjunction with our Game Events and Services team as well as our catering partner, Aramark
    • Conduct client and prospect visits on game days

CHARACTERISTICS / QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of three-five years of full-time work experience in sales, preferably in a sports/events setting
    • Successful history of closing five-figure deals
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines and quotas
    • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
    • Strong customer service, communication, time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required
    • Experience with ProVenue, Salesforce, Outreach, and Conversica preferred
